Beginners

Beginners classes are for students who have little or no yoga experience. The beginners course will give you a good foundation in yoga. It includes, " The knowing Flow " Connect Vinyasa sequence developed by Jane Ribinskas and , Ashtanga vinyasa yoga.

Level 1 classes are designed for students who have completed a yogaconcepts beginners course, it builds on the concepts learned in the Beginners course and deepens your yoga practice.

Intermediate

Intermediate classes are recommended for students who have experience in a dynamic style of yoga or have completed a Level 1 course. The intermediate classes include more inversions (such as headstands and handstands) and stronger backbends. There is deeper exploration of the primary Ashtanga sequence and The Knowing Flow™ vinyasa.

Pilates on the Mat

Pilates focuses on building core strength and body awareness. This is helpful in correcting weaknesses in the body. Pilates was designed for injured dancers with rigourous routines to recover and continue performing. It is now available for everyone.

NB: Prior to practicing:

  • Refrain from eating a heavy meal for 2 hrs
  • Use a yoga designed mat
  • Wear comfortable athletica clothing
  • No shoes required

This is a flowing practice where asanas are only held for short amounts of time keeping the body ryhthms flowing. If menstruating listen to your body this is a personal choice if you take a rest on heavy days or invert or not.

Designed by Jane Ribinskas “The Knowing Flow” yoga style is a dynamic vinyasa (moving breathing linked) flow cultivating and open eye meditation bringing the teachings of Classical Yoga into a live moment by moment experience. The sequence consists of standing, balancing, seated, twisted reclining and inverted asana postures, finishing the flow with shavasana.
The essence of the practice is to shift the energy from the base chakra (energy centre situated at the base of the etheric spine) to the knowing or intuitive space of the awareness beyond mind.
